1/Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Kate: I’m a Scorpio who likes long walks on short beaches and has an affinity for good bourbon and old school hip hop. I’m a born and raised Minnesotan specifically from the great city of Saint Paul but I work in Minneapolis for the Minnesota Twins. I struggle daily with humidity as it relates to my hair but I am hopeful for a future with less frizz. I love my family, most of my friends, and dogs :-).

Bradley: I love cheeseburgers, my dog Weezy and my partner Jamie. Not necessarily in that order.

2/How did you choose The Firm as your workout home?

Kate: I’ll admit it, hi my name is Kate and I started at the Firm because of Groupon. I might not have chosen the Firm without the coupon but now I’m so glad I went looking for a deal because it’s been one of my better decisions in life!

Bradley: A friend joined and I followed suit. Initially, out of convenience, because it was close to where I lived at the time. I stayed, because, well, it’s The Firm. It’s not just a place to workout, it’s my happy place.

3/ How does your workout buddy motivate you?

Kate: Usually it’s with loud expletives for me to get my a** moving during a workout or with towel whips. Non-traditionally, Bradley, motivates me because I mean look at him (insert heart eyes emoji)!! He exemplifies someone who cares about living an active life and knows how to make it fun! He’s a kind, super funny, bad ass all rolled into one.

Bradley: Kate is the perfect balance of fun and fury. We can laugh and joke around, but I know she’ll push me harder than I would on my own during a workout.

4/ What is your favorite class/workout to do together?

Kate: CrossFit (our scaled versions of it at least)

Bradley: CrossFit (specifically, WODs that don’t involve muscle ups or snatches. Or running). Saturday morning partner/team WODS are particularly fun. As is brunch after.

5/ What is one thing you want everyone to know about working out with a partner?

Kate: How fun it is! If you chose the right “buddy” it can make an hour workout go by so quickly because in between the drops of sweat are the countless moments of laughter.

Bradley: A good workout partner is worth a lot more than any pre-workout drink or playlist. Especially, if you’re not feeling particularly motivated on your own. And you have someone to complain to when you’re about to pass out from burpees.

6/ What is one thing you want everyone to know about The Firm?

Kate: You should always add peanut butter to your shakes but it is an extra charge 🙂 But seriously, if you’re looking for a gym that gives you a sense of community, it’s the only choice in MN!

Bradley: No matter what’s going on in your life, you walk through the doors of The Firm and you know you’re going to have fun. With a bunch of ridiculously positive, welcoming and self-improvement-focused people.

We LOVE you Kate and Bradley, thanks for being a part of our FIRM Family!
